Time flies when you're having fun. ♥

[ Girls Just Want To Have Fun ]

I can't believe I've been in Rexburg for only two weeks,
It feels like forever!
But not in a "Can't wait for this to end" type of way.
More like a "Holy Cow Time is going by so fast" kind of way.
I was a little on the edge as to how the semester would go considering my class load.
But I'm extremely happy with the results.
My classes are amazing and my homework load is just about right.
I have plenty of time to hang out with my favorite people.
[ yeah, they know who they are ]
The Semester can only get better from this moment on.
I know for a fact if can't go downhill from here.
Except for maybe the weather.
And I thought Chicago had bipolar weather!!
The first week I was in town it drizzled and snowed at the same time for days.
This town really needs a Snow Removal 101 course.
I'm pretty sure I lost count at how many times I've slipped while walking around town.
But...that's Rexburg for you.
You've just gotta love it!

I've been keeping up with my New Year's Resolution as well.
I've met one new person each day I've been here and it's been an amazing experience.
Whether it's at church, walking on campus or sitting down at the Crossroads,
I never pass up an opportunity to talk with someone.

{ Rexburg, Idaho Temple. Seriously within walking distance }

The diversity at this University is outstanding
There are seriously people here from all over the world.
It's absolutely amazing how we can all come together with our faith in the Gospel.
I'm pretty sure this is what Zion would look like.
Literally thousands of people working together for the same purpose.
I thoroughly enjoy being surrounded by individuals who share the same morals and values as myself.
I'm oh so thankful for this University, and the opportunity to be a student here.
Not to mention, the wonderful individuals who are enrolled here as well.
We each help each other strive for discipleship, and help one another out when the other needs it.

I'm definitely looking forward to this week.
Cheerleading Tryouts are on Tuesday and Thursday.
Ally and I are pretty much stoked to get the team together and start working.

Oh yeah! Did I mention I'm helping ally Coach the Cheer Team??
I'm pretty excited. Austin is helping out as well.
Crazy how much we've each grown too!
Were ready to dive in and create a Cheer Masterpiece.
[ well at least try to create a Cheer Masterpiece ]
I've also volunteered with iCover so meetings will be on Wednesdays.
I've heard a lot about iCover and I'm actually really excited to get involved here on campus.
It kinda looks like a busy week ahead of me,
but I'm really excited to make new memories.

The semester is barely two weeks in and I already have a ton of new memories.
Too many to write down too.
I've been blessed with amazing friends and roommates.

{ Reana. Me. Dillon. Ally ready for the Hart Dance Party}
{ We put the FUN in FUN-Tastic }

[ Nothing Like a Momo Party ]

I know I've said this before,
but I can't get believe how blessed I am.
This town may be small,
but it has so much to offer!
Here's to hoping for new memories and no tragedies.

Back to the Burg!!

It's official.
I am now residing in good old Rexburg, Idaho.

{ crazy huh??? ]
To my surprise, it's actually much colder here than it is back home.
And you'd think I'd be used to being in cold weather considering Chicago's winters.
But NO! I wear multiple layers, gloves, scarf, and a hat wherever I go.
I'm pretty sure I look like an eskimo.
{ a cute eskimo that is }
At least I seem to think so.
Anyways,
I got into town on Thursday night.
It was definitely a long day of traveling but definitely worth it in the end.
I seem to have forgotten how amazing this town is!!
And campus has changed soooo muchh!!!
Can you tell how excited I am yet???\
Well, Friday night was an unpacking day.
Boy was I in for a LONG night.
I may have underestimated the time I thought I would need for unpacking
I didn't really notice how much clothing I brought to Idaho.
I didn't finish until Saturday morning but it was well worth the hassle.
I love my room.
And I love living at Tuscany.
Having my own room and privacy is wonderful.
[ Junior came to college with me ]

[ Had to have my initials ]

[ I love the closets ]
I wonder how long the room will stay organized for.
My bet is a month or so before I totally trash it and re-organize it all.
Moving on....
iNight was on Saturday and it was GREAT!
For those of you who don't know what that is,
each year the BYUI campus throws a Kick of party.
There are inflatable obstacles, food, laser tag, and of course...
a DANCE PARTY!
Not that bad of a night.
I met up with Ally and her friend Dillon. (aka Collin. haha)
We danced the night away like none other.
Have I mentioned how crazy it is to see all of my friends again??
Marvelous just marvelous.
It's crazy to think that we were freshmen about three years ago!

Singles Ward:
In all honesty, the best singles wards are right here in BYU-Idaho.
That being said,
I honestly don't think I've ever laughed as hard during a singles ward as I did this past Sunday.
Some of the comments made during sacrament Sunday were:
"Bishop you're HOT!"
"We can't leave the counselors out, you two are hot as well."
"There are black mormons!!!"
Honestly, THE best sacrament meeting EVER!
The ward is filled with different characters.
You know what that means??
There will NEVER be a dull moment at activities.
How awesome is that??

Now moving on to the roomies.
I live in an apartment with five other girlies.
All of which are magnificent and I can already tell the semester will be amazing with them.
They each have their own personality and style,
but we get along great.
Their names are Taiba, Cindell, Kiyonna, Reana and Kelsi.
We're each from different parts of the country,
and I'm sure we will each bring something different to the apartment.
I'm pretty excited to get to meet each one of these amazing ladies more as the semester continues.

And finally..the reason I am in Rexburg to begin with,
SCHOOL!
BYUI campus has changed a lot physically,
but the Spirit I remember feeling since my first day here remains the same.
I seriously forgot how amazing it was to pray before classes,
incorporate the Gospel into my studies and just be around peers who share and respect my values.
I'm taking quite the credit load but I'm definitely up for the challenge.
Today was the first day of the semester,
and let me tell you,
the library will be my new home for the next few months.
My teachers are hilarious and my fellow classmates are as friendly as can be.
One of my classes emphasizes on obesity and diabetes,
and requires us all to run one mile and a half as a class.
CRAZY RIGHT??

I've only been in Idaho for about four days today,
and I can already tell it will be an eventful semester.
Amazing roomies and friends. Spectacular Professors. Hilarious Singles Ward.
Honestly, what more can I ever ask for?
I'm excited to see what this crazy little college town has in store for me,
but most importantly to expand my knowledge;
both educationally and spiritually.
Rexburg may be a cold town during the winter,
but it is THE town to be in.
